Itinerary and program

Arrival at Chamonix

Arrival Day: Meet in Chamonix
6:00 PM: Welcome briefing and meeting with your guide in Chamonix.

Refuge Bellachat, 2,152m

We hike from Chamonix up to Refuge Bellachat (2,152m). The refuge offers one of the finest views of the Mont Blanc range. Enjoy a drink on the terrace overlooking the entire Mont Blanc valley while you wait for sunset to bathe the mountains in pink. A hearty, family-style dinner will soon be served in the cosy mountain hut.

5–6 hrs, 7km, +1,100m altitude gain (can be reduced with a morning transfer to a higher starting point).

Overnight at Refuge Bellachat.

Brévent – Refuge Lac Blanc, 2,352m

An early breakfast at the hut, with fantastic views towards Mont Blanc. Our trail climbs to the summit of Le Brévent for an even more breathtaking view. We continue to Col du Cornu via Col du Brévent, where the trail descends to Planpraz. After a picnic lunch, we continue along the northern Balcony Trail to Flégère. A chairlift takes us high above the tree line, from where it’s just a 1-hour walk to our refuge for the night. Lac Blanc is the perfect spot for stunning photos, with Mont Blanc rising in the background.

7–8 hrs, 12km, +600m/-600m.

Overnight at Refuge Lac Blanc.

Aiguilles Rouges – Col des Montets

We enjoy a hearty breakfast overlooking the Aiguilles Rouges before leaving this beautiful spot. Our descent takes us past the Lacs de Chéserys, heading towards either Argentière or Col des Montets. Those who want to hike a bit longer can join the guide on the Petit Balcon Sud trail, all the way back to Chamonix. Lunch will be served at a typical mountain restaurant.
